Happy Hollow Gardens

We drove downtown (for once) and got Thai food from Oriental House to take on a picnic at Tinker Creek Greenway. We video chatted with Nic while we were there. He wanted to fill us in on the details as to how we are going to supposedly be called by an FBI agent and interviewed about Nic so that he can get an upgraded security clearance for his job.
Our new friend Andy wanted to meet up one more time before we headed to NYC, which was approaching very quickly. We were kind of done with cocktail bars for the moment, so I suggested something outdoorsy. So despite already having 1 picnic that day, we set out on another one at Happy Hollow Gardens, recommended by Andy.
The drive up there was just that---up. It was quite a windy steep road. Luckily we were catching it right in bloom for the spring and it was covered in pink flowery bushes. Everyone (Andy + Alex, Cain) were late except for us, so we took some time to take some photos and film the bumblebees.
Erika had made her own bruschetta with a sliced, toasted baguette to bring. Andy brought an assortment of meats, cheeses, crackers and dips. Cain only brought his continuing nausea, poor guy. At least he started to formulate the theory that his new medicine might be to blame. Andy brought several of his video capture toys (drone, 360 camera) to mess around with, but we were mostly just interested in eating and chatting.
At the end of the hang Andy asked if we wanted to come over to their house for a bonfire. We wanted to, but it was getting too close to our move and we were needing to start boxing things up that evening. Usually I'll just say yes to anything that sounds fun over a responsibility, but I made the right choice this time to say no and not deal with added moving stress.
