Walkin Everywhere
Sep 17, 2022 | Montreal, QC
This day started off with no plan and then somehow turned into us being out literally all day long. But I suppose that can be exactly the reason for such a thing to occur.
First we thought we were going to go over to the Mile End area and get bagels since Montreal is famous for their specific style of bagels but we only tried them from one of the two "go to" spots for bagels and wanted to compare them to the other place (Fairmont vs St Viateur). However, after driving past Osmo x Marusan Cafe (which we loved last time) we decided to go there again instead.
That small change of plan didn't do much to our alter our day, but then we decided to go print something from the UPS store and it turned out that their printer was broken. We had walked kind of far to get there so afterward we just started walking around, and ended up never getting back home till midnight.
I'll just add that the thing we were trying to print was a "friendship card" we had been working on. Since we're so bad at making friends and it always seems awkward to be like "let me give you my number... where's a pen?" or whatever, we thought we would print up some cards that we could easily hand out when we strike up a conversation. We'll see how it works out if we ever actually get them made!
After dinner we thought we might as well stick around for some drinks. We told Eliana that she should join us when she gets off work, so after going to a kind of basic beer bar and then a tiki rum bar, we met up with her at the place we were most interested in hitting that night: Candi Bar.
All in all, according to Erika's pedometer app, we walked 7.2 miles this day.
