Last day in Montreal

Our favorite time of the month... moving. At least we made today fun by getting out of the house a bit at dinner time. We got poutine from the famous La Banquise and finally remembered to bring nuts to feed the squirrels in Fontaine Park. They were big fans of our cashews and dried apricots and were totally willing to eat from our hands or even climb into our laps to get treats.

We had an idea to make cards to hand out to people to make it easier to exchange contact info. We spent a lot of time designing them, but when it came time to print (a couple days ago) we attempted to do it at the UPS store which didn't have thick paper, and as it turns out, had a left margin that pushed our design over so that it didn't align from front to back. Maybe we'll try again another time!

We know that La Banquise had a somewhat legendary reputation for their poutine, but the couple times we had walked by they had a massive line outside.

But since it was our last day we decided to go for it. The line wasn't too long since we got there a little before normal dinner time. Still took forever to make it though, so I can see why the lines end up being so long.
