Insane Mini Golf Course
Dec 29, 2021 | Daytona Beach, FL
We started the day off by going to a coffee house that we had passed multiple times near downtown. It's called Stock Brew Café. Their whole things is that they are a "financial literacy" themed coffee shop. It's decorated with stock market and cryptocurrency themed images and sayings. It was interesting to say the least. The owner was this young guy who was incredibly friendly and chatted with us a bit. We tried ordering a vegan breakfast sandwich but they were all sold out. He said he didn't realize how popular all their food items would be and that he had to place another order right after the first one. He priced all the vegan and non-vegan items the same and explained how he thought it wasn't fair that the vegan options were always more expensive at most places (he was vegetarian). We had our coffee and some small bites to eat of whatever the owner wanted to throw together for us.
We then headed up the street, right across from our hotel actually, to the mini golf course. We passed this course every day and always stared in awe. Now, today was the day we actually got to explore it. It's called Congo River Golf. The scenery is very impressive and it was overall a super fun mini golf experience. At some of the holes, they had these little spinners each player would have to spin before their turn. It would give you an extra little challenge like putting with your non-dominate hand or using the wrong end of the putter for your first hit.
The business also offered alligator feeding, which felt kind of gross and weird. They had a bunch of small, juvenile gators in a sandy pit that you could throw meat to. We definitely didn't pay for that, but did end up buying matching golf balls, since we play so often anyways.
For dinner we went to a Thai restaurant called Zen Bistro. We sat outside since it was a gorgeous day.
