NYE in Florida
Dec 31, 2021 | Daytona Beach, FL
In the morning we made homemade focaccia bread. We both designed our own breads using a random prompt. Erika's random prompt that she found using a generator online was "well", so naturally, she designed a water well. It looks dumb but that's okay, cause it's just food. It will be eaten soon anyways. Brian got luckier with his prompt, which was "bird". And I must say, he did a pretty darn good job.
Not much happened that day until the evening when we went out to the board walk to celebrate New Years Eve. Florida loves their illegal (at least in California) fireworks. Erika video chatted with her dad for a bit, and we drank hard seltzers while walking the boardwalk. People were scattered all over the beach setting off fireworks. Towards the end of the night was the real firework show. It was pretty spectacular seeing the fireworks popping off right over the pitch black ocean.

We watched the fireworks off the back of the Joe's pier. NOT Joe's Crab Shack, which is at the other end of the beach. This one is a copycat.

It's hard to get this one to make a serious face, but that's why I love him
