Missing Cat & Pop-ups

A few days prior to this day, our Airbnb host Liz told Erika about how she was cat-sitting for a friend. The cat was free to come and go through the cat door but hadn't come back for multiple days (about 5). She asked if we would let her know if we saw it. While Brian was looking out the window, he saw a calico cat walking around the yard and Erika recognised it as the one Liz was missing. We quietly watched it make its way back inside through the cat door. Once inside, we ran over and blocked the cat door with a chair so it wouldn’t get out again. Erika texted Liz and Liz said it was fine to unblock the cat door, and that it was fine since the cat will obviously come back home.
We then went to a place called Buzzmill Coffee because they were having a pop-up market. There were lots of booths of homemade jewelry, art, vintage Alphabot toys, and even cookie mixes. We originally planned to get bao from a food truck there (that was kind of the main reason we went to the event in the first place). But, they had a wait time that was over an hour, so we went to a different truck that was actually owned by the same people. We got chicken nuggets and something else that we can’t remember. The guy running the truck was super nice and even threw in a bunch of extra nuggets just cause he felt like the food took a while and was sorry we couldn’t get bao. Erika bought two pairs of earrings from an awkward goth girl. One was a pair of pink plastic/rubber frogs and the other pair was two large plastic daffodils (she never ended up wearing them though, and soon got rid of them). Erika then got two different flavors of French macarons from a fancy-looking vegan booth run by an awkward foreign couple. Both of the macarons tasted absolutely horrible. They were so bad with a strong chemical flavor. Brian definitely agreed and they threw them away.
After that market, we went to another pop-up. We parked down the street from the pop-up location and while walking there we saw some chain link fence art that said “Bye Don”. The event was for mostly vintage clothes but also some handmade clothes. There was even someone selling coats that they handmade out of quilts. Overall, most things being sold were expensive or at least not worth the amount they were asking. Erika found some amazing cowboy boots that were way out of her price range (very well over $100). They had a deck coming off of the back of the store where people were sitting and hanging out. There was a cooler of hard seltzers that were free to whoever wanted them. We sat and drank a couple and then headed inside the vintage shop that was hosting the backyard pop-up. There were some cool things in there, but again, it was fairly pricey and we ended up going home without buying anything.
