Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol

Around noon we went to go meet up with Aaron and Andrew at a laid back outdoor tap room called the Rustic Tap. Aaron was very excited about the idea that someone with the last name of Hamby owned it, because he gets really excited about anything involving the Hamby name for some reason, whether or not they are actually our relatives or ancestors. He told us that the girl he went on a date with the night before couldn't hang out with him that day, although Brian is pretty sure he actually saw her on the street as we were making our way over to that exact bar.
In the evening we went to see Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol at The Green Jay. We were there way too early because the timing was confusing on the website, so we went back over to "Friends" bar (no it wasn't themed after the show, despite having the same font on their sign) and watched a band that wasn't Paul Van but was still very bluesy and good in their own right. We got back to the Green Jay when the opening band was doing their sound check, which went on for a comical amount of time. Aaron got into an absolute tizzy over the soundcheck and got on one of his loops where he could not stop saying things about it back to back to back. You could tell he was building a lot of animosity toward the group, whereas the rest of us thought it was either funny or were just mildly annoyed. They finally started playing and were nothing special, but Aaron wouldn't stop making comments about them the entire time they played even though it was hard to hear anything he said over the music.
The headlining band was called Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol. When listening to them online before deciding what show to go to, Brian thought they were just kind of a garage rock band like the White Stripes, but they actually turned out to rock pretty damn heavy in person. Brian had a blast thrashing in the mosh pit the whole time. Aaron did his best to come in at times, but afterward kept declaring that he almost shit is pants due to the sheer exertion of managing himself in the pit.
After the music was over Andrew stayed around inside trying to chat up the violinist from the opening bands. We had talked to her a little bit before the show, and apparently Andrew took a liking to her. Aaron was extremely impatient about this and kept walking back into the venue, no doubt to pace around Andrew all weird and give him passive aggressive looks. When he would come back outside after one of these assaults on Andrew's flirting attempts, he tell us how bad Andrew was doing at trying to get with the girl, which most likely wasn't true. It was probably a combination of him still being mad at that band for their extended sound check, and the fact that his friend was getting attention from a woman when he wasn't.
