San Antonio

We had been saying for a while that we needed to go to San Antonio, but first the shady hotel we had booked tried to say a few days before we were supposed to go there that there were added taxes that we needed to pay which was definitely against Airbnb's policies and we had already put as much money on it as we were willing to pay, so we canceled. So then we decided we would just go for the day, but it turned out that we thought SA was closer than it actually was so we kept pushing it back. But we pulled it off, folks.

On our way, we saw a Buc-ee's and knew we needed to stop in for a moment. We were able to get a photo with the beaver himself. We got Brian's niece and nephew some Buc-ee's merch that they ended up loving, so that was a win.

First we went to the Alamo because I suppose it was our duty as tourists. We didn't pay to go in it. I don't remember how much it was but it cost twice as much as we were interested in doing it.

Then we went to the "river walk" which is a small section of the San Antonio river that they divert through the center of downtown. It's paved and below the level of the main streets and runs along a bunch of restaurants and shops so it feels very manmade. But it's also very pretty and fun, so take that mother nature.
