The Wedding Singer (or at least half of it)

The main attraction of the evening was supposed to be seeing The Wedding Singer, which was being put on by the same playhouse that did Head Over Heels a couple weeks ago. We thought we were being smart by not paying for a seat this time, since the grassy steps area in the back half of the audience are free, but we found out why: it was pretty buggy. Lots of little gnats and such landing on us all the time. I was okay with it, but Erika wasn't really into the show and was getting fidgety and so we decided to leave during the intermission.

We did another Lark Street crawl during the before and after of the fractured theater showing. First we went to Pint Sized before the play was to begin and got some classic 'Gansetts. Then after we left the show, we went back to Palais Royale for their humongous cocktails.

Oh actually I almost forgot. We stopped at a mini-mart to get some drinks and snacks before the show, and the cashier told us a really enthusiastic story about how apparently a woman ("She was black and I'm only telling you this because it's important to the story", he said) came in and asked another customer if she was white, and when she responded "yes" she proceeded to strangle her. The cashier said that he separated them and that the attacker then asked him what race he was, to which he claims he responded "Chinese" and that she was placated by this answer. This was probably his favorite part of the story by how he was laughing, and I'll say that although I can't say for certain what his heritage was, it wasn't Chinese. My best guess is Persian or Middle Eastern of some sort. Not sure why he thought he would be better off being Chinese than Persian, but apparently he knows better than us since it worked. After the woman left she allegedly attacked another white woman on the street and was arrested by a whole swarm of cops. He showed us a video on his phone of that part happening, so we know that part was accurate.
