Fleet Feet run - Albany Edition

Jul 13, 2022 | Albany, NY

In the morning we went downtown to get some donuts at Cider Belly. Then we officially started the search for finding an Albany sticker for Brian's collection. Turns out we were kind of early for most of the shops to open so we wandered around a bit checking out the street art and sculptures. We went to Fort Orange General Store and the Albany Visitor's Center, but neither one had a good sticker.

In the evening we went to Nine Pin Cider Works, which is right around the corner from our house. Erika had found out that Fleet Feet puts together 5k runs in this area kinda like how they did in Roanoke. But as we found it, it's not nearly as organized here. Only 3 other guys showed up, and the Fleet Feet representative was a no-show, despite Erika calling the store and asking if they were still coming. But the run was along the river and very nice.

Afterward we got a flight of 9 ciders (they had 10 so we left out the maple one) and had a chat with one of the guys who ran with us. We didn't exactly love his conversation as it progressed though. He was a cop and had a lot of cynically/jaded/small-minded opinions about places and people. We hit up one more place before heading home, which was Wolff's Biergarten. They had some pretty decent German beers there.
